ABOUT US
"Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be a slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matthew 10:43-45
OUR MISSION
Worldwide Hearts & Hands seeks to honor God by building global relationships and strengthening communities physically and spiritually. We provide ongoing care for God's children including food, friendship and education. As God enlarges our territory we will respond by serving those most in need of help and hope.
OUR HISTORY
In 2002 at Centenary United Methodist in Lexington, KY the New Covenant Sunday School class learned of Escarpment village. Escarpment is in the Central Province of Kenya and is a subsistence farming community with a population of 5,000. The members of the New Covenant Sunday School class made a commitment that day to serve the people of Escarpment through prayers, finances and trips to aid the village members' spiritual, educational and physical needs.

MADE BY GOD, LOVED BY GOD
Many of the children in our Light 8:12 programs do not know when their birthdays are. Our staff strives to teach the children in our programs that they are valued, made by God and loved by Him. One way we teach these truths is through the celebration of birthdays with cake. Many of these children have never tasted birthday cake. It is a joy to watch them try it for the first time!
